Vehicle larceny case in Northern Oneida County results in felony charges filed against local resident, Troopers say

FORESTPORT- A local resident in Northern Oneida County is accused of felony charges in the wake of a police investigation, authorities say.

Michael W. Case, 34, of Forestport, NY was arrested Tuesday afternoon by the New York State Police (Remsen). Case is formally charged with one felony count each of criminally possessing stolen property in the third-degree (value > $3,000) and tampering with physical evidence.

According to Troopers, these charges stem from a vehicle larceny investigation, which was initially reported on December 12 in the town of Forestport.

At press time, Case’s arrest status was listed as held. Police said an investigation was pending, with evidence, as of this report.

There were no further details provided from the State Police.
