Village of Boonville to soon meet with landscape architects to propose design plans for Erwin Park canoe launch, amphitheater and boardwalk

BOONVILLE- Village officials are expected to soon meet with designers to propose ideas for what the new Erwin Park canoe launch, amphitheater and boardwalk would look like.

In January, the village was awarded with a grant totaling nearly $330,000. The grant requires a 25% match from the village.

According to officials from the Village and Town Offices, Labella Associates and Landscape Architects are expected to soon meet with local leaders to solidify design plans.

Construction bids may go out as soon as this fall if everything goes along smoothly, officials told us.

Known as the Village of Boonville Erwin Park Renewal Project, the goal is to revamp the main entrance with State Route 12, while also constructing a boardwalk and a canoe/kayak launch.

Furthermore, the plans include an amphitheater and resurfaced tennis courts.
