West Leyden Man Arrested on Drug Charges
TOWN OF LEWIS-A 47 year old West Leyden man is facing numerous charges following an arrest on drug possession charges that occurred in the Town of Lewis on Friday. New York State Police from the Lowville Barracks charged Michael J. Preece with one count each of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree-Intention to sell, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance-Narcotic: both Class B felonies. Peece was also charged with Circumventing Interlock-Subject to Court Order, operating a Motor Vehicle without the Device, Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd Degree-Scales: both Class A misdemeanors and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 2nd Degree, a Class U misdemeanor. Preece was remanded to Central Arraignment for processing. No further details were released.
