Heida L Rocker

Castorland – Heida L. Rocker, 63, of State Route 410, wife of Francis Jr., passed away on September 17, 2025 at Wynn Hospital, Utica, while surrounded by her loving family.

Heida was born on September 28, 1961 in Rome, a daughter of Chester and Cathleen Letson Kirk.  She grew up in Westernville, where she received her education at Holland Patent Central School.  Heida was united in marriage with Francis Rocker, Jr. on November 24, 1979 at the Boonville Christian and Missionary Alliance Church.

For several years Heida was employed as a manager for McDonald’s Restaurants, working at their Yorkville and Old Forge locations.   For a time she was also employed as a clerk for Fastrac, and in housekeeping at Clark’s Beach Motel, both in Old Forge.

Besides her husband Francis Jr., she is survived by her children: Francis Rocker, III and his significant other Dawn Ingersoll, Lowville, Kayla Dickinson (Tom Jr.), New Bremen, Michael (Amber) Rocker, Ithaca, and Matthew (Melissa) Rocker, Rome; grandchildren, and her siblings, Jody Kirk, Dwayne Kirk, Wendy Baslow, and Sally Williams.  She was predeceased by her parents Chester and Cathleen Kirk.

In keeping with Heida’s wishes there will be no services.  A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Lewis County Humane Society, P.O.
