Irma J. Dean

Port Leyden- Irma J. Dean, 75, formerly of East Main St., Port Leyden, passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at Lewis County General Hospital, Lowville.

Irma was born in Lowville, on April 5, 1950, a daughter of Charles and Rose Villiere Dean.  She grew up in Penny Settlement and graduated from South Lewis Central School, with the Class of 1968.  For many years she was employed as a telephone operator for General Telephone Co., Boonville. 

On October 4, 1969, Irma was married to Peter R. Donnelly; later the couple was divorced.

She loved her feline friends, Jasmin and Callie.

Irma is survived by two sons and a granddaughter; Brian C. and his wife, Shannon, Donnelly and their daughter, Vaughn Donnelly and Jeffrey D. Donnelly, Boonville. 

Her Funeral will be Friday at 11:00 A.M. at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, followed by interment in Port Leyden Cemetery.  Calling hours are Thursday from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to Port Leyden Fire Department Ambulance Fund, P.O.
