John L. Duncan

Constableville- John L. Duncan, 84, of West Road, husband of the late Annette, passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, April 29, 2025.

John was born on September 18, 1940, a son of Leon and Alice Meiss Duncan. For several years, he operated a dairy farm on the West Road, near Constableville, before several years of employment as a carpenter for Law Bros. Construction Co. Lyons Falls.

On April 20, 1963, he married Annette Burmingham, at St. John’s Church, Lyons Falls. Mrs. Duncan passed away on August 5, 1998.

John is survived by his children; Kim (John) Siegel and their children, Christopher Siegel, Michael Siegel (David); Alice (Eric) Gokey, and their children, Miranda (Drew) Skiff and their children, Hattie Skiff and Sawyer Skiff, Miriah (Brendon) Ripp and their children, Ella Patterson, Colt Young, Annette Gokey and Laci Jo Gokey. A son Roy J. Duncan predeceased John, on January 2, 2018. Also surviving are his siblings; Mary Mount, Appleton, WI, Carol Martin, Turin, Judy York, Turin, Linda Miller, Lowville, Ronald (Connie) Duncan, Glenfield, Doris Pasternak, Prattsville, June (Duane) Lelair, Horseshoe Bend, AR, Barb (Steve) Duffer, Lowville and David (Maureen) Duncan, Glenfield. He was also predeceased by his stepmother, Shirley Blair Duncan.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation hours on Thursday, May 1, 2025, from 2-4 P.M. at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville. Memorial contributions may be made to Constableville Fire Company, P.O. Box 438, Constableville, NY 13325.
