Constableville- Isadore Paluck, 95, of James St., passed away at his residence on Saturday, September 21, 2024.

Affectionately known as “Izzy,” he was born near Constableville, on the Paluck Homestead Farm, on the Crofoot Hill Road, on April 4, 1929, a son of Anthony and Mary Kolasa Paluck. Isadore grew up on the homestead farm and received his education at the Crofoot Hill Rural School.

Times were tough and Izzy had to curtail his formal education in order to help operated the family farm. His early employment was also with the Town of West Turin Highway Department and later planting trees on Tug Hill, while serving in the depression era CCC Camp at Highmarket. In the later 1950’s Mr. Paluck joined Iron Workers Union Local 440, of Utica, where he was employed for many years in major building construction projects in central and upstate New York. In the mid 1970’s he retired from the Iron Workers Union. Mr. Paluck will be remembered for his strong work ethic and his keen mind.

On March 15, 1952, Isadore was united in marriage with Lillian Pauline Korman and afterwards the couple settled on the homestead farm on Crofoot Hill Road, later moving to their present home on James St. / Vanzandt Road, Constableville. Their union which was based on a bond of love and hard work endured for nearly 70 years, until Lillian, who was a well known excellent cook and terrific bowler at the Constableville Bowling Alley, passed away on January 24, 2022.

Izzy is survived by five children, Cynthia Kelly, William (Carol) Paluck, Alison (Joe) Brinkerhoff, Elaine Paluck (Joe DiNardo), Timothy Paluck and Theresa Garnsey, all of Constableville; ten grandchildren; eight great 
grandchildren. The last of his family, Izzy was predeceased by his siblings; Stella Kowalik, Tillie Czajka, Joseph Paluck, Rose Karpinski and a half-sister and half- brother; Helen Wood and Edward Paluck. 

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary’s Church, Constableville, where Rev. Daniel Chapin, pastor will preside. Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Constableville. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made
to Constableville Fire Company and Ambulance, PO Box 438, Constableville, NY 13325. Donations of food may be dropped off at the Constableville Fire Department Hall, on Saturday, from 10:00 A.M. on. His arrangements are in care of Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. Boonville, NY.
