Joseph (Joachim) Francis Nelson
Believing with all his heart in the Resurrection of Jesus and His promise of eternal life for those who believe, Joachim left this world.
Born in Old Forge in 1936, he was the son of the late Austin and Evangeline Nelson, and died on Tuesday, September 17, 2024.
In addition to his wife, Donna, Joseph is survived by his only sister Rita Farmer, of Thendara, NY
In 1985 he married the former Donna Williams of Whitsboro, NY. For many many years he served the Catholic Church as a member of the Graymoor Friars in the Society of the Atonement.
The Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday Sept. 21 at 10 am from St Joseph St Patrick Church, Columbia St., Utica, NY. There are no calling hours.
