Gas demand remains relatively down, but oil prices have gone up and so have prices at the pump.
As of this report, the national average for a gallon of gas is just below $3.80, while New York State’s average price is $3.83, according to the AAA.
Nearly two-weeks ago, the national average was just shy of $3.60. A year ago now, New Yorkers were paying an average of $4.51 at the pump.

As of this update, gas prices in the Lowville, NY area are just below $3.90, according to GasBuddy.
Prices in the Boonville, NY area reflect nearly the same. Meanwhile, if you examine the Watertown, NY region, the same sources suggest gas prices as low as $3.70.
In Syracuse, drivers are paying as low as $3.75 and nearly the same in the Mohawk Valley/Utica, NY region.
