LOWVILLE, MARTINSBURG & NEW BREMEN- An additional load of charges have been filed against an alleged Lewis County area fuel thief, who was originally busted last month.

Sheriff’s Investigators announced on Tuesday numerous new counts of petit larceny that have been lodged against Patrick R. Delles.

Authorities say they have been looking into a variety of reported fuel and driveway stone thefts across three different townships.

In the town of Martinsburg, Delles is now accused of stealing nearly 75-gallons of diesel fuel from a county-owned excavator. The incident occurred on July 8 and was caught on surveillance footage.

In the town of Lowville, Delles is accused of stealing nearly 80-gallons of fuel from an excavator on August 17, while also stealing nearly 100-gallons of fuel from a tractor at Marks Farms on September 14.

Finally in the town of New Bremen, Delles is alleged to have stolen a truckload of driveway mix from the town’s gravel pit on two occasions, including August 12 and September 11.

All incidents reportedly occurred during the early morning hours, the Sheriff's Office said.

Delles was first busted last month on charges related to a similar spree of reported thefts in New Bremen and Watson.

At press time, authorities said that Delles was issued with appearance tickets and is due to appear in court at a later date.
