Aggravated DWI charge filed against Oneida County resident in wake of property damage crash, Deputies say

SANGERFIELD- A property damage crash in Oneida County has resulted in charges filed against a local resident, including intoxicated driving and others.

It was shortly after 3:00 p.m. Monday when police and emergency responders were dispatched to reports of a property damage accident State Route 20 in the town of Sangerfield.

Investigation via the Sheriff’s Office resulted in the arrest of Robert Durham, 42, of Lee Center, NY. Durham is formally charged with aggravated DWI and other unspecified traffic violations.

Deputies allege that Durham lost control of his pick-up and crashed into an earth embankment, all while intoxicated.

A measured BAC level was not reported by Deputies. Durham was subsequently released on appearance tickets.

Members from the New York State Police, Waterville Fire Department and Anderson Towing all assisted.
