Boonville juvenile charged with menacing and criminally possessing a weapon in local domestic dispute

BOONVILLE- A domestic dispute early Monday in Northern Oneida County has resulted in the arrest of a local juvenile.

According to the New York State Police (Marcy), the 17-year-old teenage suspect from Boonville, NY is formally charged with one misdemeanor count each of menacing in the second-degree (w/a weapon) and criminally possessing a weapon in the fourth-degree.

Due to the age and youthful offender status of the suspect, their name was not provided by authorities.

Troopers said the charges stem from a reported domestic incident in the town of Boonville some time shortly after 3:30 a.m. Monday.

At press time, police said the juvenile was issued with a family court appearance ticket.
