
ROME- Cocaine, Crack Cocaine and a loaded handgun are just some of the items that were seized in one of the latest law enforcement busts.
 
Members from the New York State Police, Oneida County Sheriff’s Office and the City Police Department teamed up on Wednesday to execute a search warrant at 313 ½ W. Embargo Street and another business at 602 Calvert Street.
As a result, authorities seized more than four ounces of cocaine, over one-half ounce of crack cocaine, a loaded handgun, more than $2,000 in cash, and various drug packaging materials and scales.
From police investigation, Iabriel T. Sumter, 41, of Rome, NY was arrested and formally charged with a class A II felony charge of criminally possessing a controlled substance in the second-degree and another felony charge of criminally possessing a weapon in the second-degree.
Sumter was transported to the Oneida County Jail pending centralized arraignment.
