Domestic incident in Carthage results in criminal obstruction of breathing charge against North Country resident

CARTHAGE- A North Country resident is faced with an accusation stemming from a reported Jefferson County domestic incident over the weekend, authorities say.

Christopher Scott Reuting, 24, of Carthage, NY was arrested Sunday evening by the New York State Police (Carthage). Reuting is formally charged with one misdemeanor count of criminal obstruction of breathing.

According to Troopers, the arrest stems from a reported domestic incident early Saturday in the village of Carthage, NY.

At press time, police said that Reuting appeared for a centralized arraignment.

There were no further details provided.
