LYONS FALLS- An alleged domestic dispute this week has resulted in charges filed against a man from Southern Lewis County, authorities say.
Mitchell O. Fruin, 25, of Lyons Falls, NY was arrested Thursday by the Lewis County Sheriff's Office. He is officially charged with one misdemeanor count each of assault in the third-degree, criminal obstruction of breathing and unlawful imprisonment.
Deputies also charged Fruin with a violation of harassment in the second-degree.
Police say this arrest stems from reports of a physical domestic incident, which occurred in the village shortly after 8:00 p.m. Thursday.
Following an arraignment in New Bremen Town CAP Court, Fruin was released on his own recognizance, with appearance tickets, all returnable to Lyonsdale Town Court at a later date.
Details describing the reported incident were not provided from the Sheriff's Office.
