
WATSON- A motor vehicle crash in Lewis County over the weekend has resulted in a DWI arrest, with charges filed against a local resident.
On Saturday, emergency services were dispatched to reports of a crash on the Austin Road, town of Watson.
The reported driver, identified by the Sheriff’s Office as Kimberlee J. Macdonell-Der, 56, of Glenfield, NY allegedly showed signs of impairment during the interview process, police said.
Macdonell-Der subsequently failed field sobriety tests before being taken in to the Public Safety Building, where she registered a .14% BAC.
Macdonell-Der is formally charged with one count each of DWI, driving a motor vehicle (w/a .08 of 1% BAC or greater) and failing to keep right.
Following processing, she was released on appearance tickets, which are returnable to Watson Town Court at a later date.
Members from the New York State Police, New York State DEC, Lowville Fire Department, Lewis County Search & Rescue and Kafline’s Towing all assisted.
