DEPUTIES: Lewis County resident allegedly struck victim under protection order in Watson

WATSON- A local resident from Lewis County is faced with charges, including a felony, after allegedly striking a victim who was under an order of protection.

Sheriff's Deputies investigated a domestic incident on Monday in the town of Watson. 

According to police and their findings, Tori L. Smith, 56, of Glenfield, NY allegedly struck a person who was under protection via an order from Lewis County Family Court. 

Smith is formally charged with one felony count of criminal contempt in the first-degree and a violation of harassment in the second-degree.

At press time, deputies said that Smith was arraigned and released.

There were no further details provided.
