TURIN- One person was evaluated at a local hospital and another refused treatment in the wake of a Lewis County UTV accident over the weekend, authorities say.

It happened shortly after 4:30 p.m. Saturday on the Carpenter Road, town of Turin, the Sheriff’s Office says.

According to police investigation, James W. Bohen, 57, of Pulaski, NY was driving a 2022 CANAM machine through an open field, near Timberview Resort.

It’s determined that he failed to negotiate a turn, causing the machine to tip-over. His passenger, Kimberly L. Bohen, 53, also of Pulaski, NY was reportedly unconscious before emergency responders arrived, deputies said.

Members from Constableville Ambulance took her to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, where she was treated and released. James reportedly refused any treatment on-scene.
