“Now more than ever, our country needs Donald J. Trump,” says Congresswoman Stefanik in response to President Biden’s bid for re-election
WASHINGTON, D.C.- U.S. President Joe Biden has confirmed his re-election bid in 2024 and North Country Congresswoman Elise Stefanik (R-NY-21), an outspoken critic against the President and other Democratic officials, has responded by saying our country needs Donald Trump “now more than ever.”
“The American people are suffering from crippling inflation, record illegal border crossings, and woke policies that seek to destroy our freedoms,” Stefanik claimed in her latest statements.
“Not only do the vast majority of Americans strongly disapprove of his (Joe Biden’s) presidency and policies, even over 50 percent of Democrats do not want him to run again,” Stefanik went on.

"Our country will not support another four years of Joe Biden's disastrous policies crushing hardworking American families. The American people are suffering from crippling inflation, record illegal border crossings, and woke policies that seek to destroy our freedoms. Joe Biden has never been in a weaker position. Not only do the vast majority of Americans strongly disapprove of his presidency and policies, even over 50 percent of Democrats do not want him to run again. As House Republican Conference Chair, I am committed to holding Joe Biden accountable and implementing our Commitment to America, which is a major contrast with the failed policies of this Administration. Now more than ever, our country needs Donald J. Trump, and I will do everything in my power to help elect him in 2024 as President of the United States to save America."
Trump, who is a front runner for the Republican Party, made his campaign announcement last fall at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.
After appearing in a New York City Court late last month over numerous felony charges in a hush money case, the former President faces yet another trial, which begins Tuesday, involving E. Jean Carroll. She is accusing Trump of raping her in a New York City Department store in the 1990’s.
Trump has denied Carroll’s claims.
In his video announcement Tuesday, President Biden says the question our country faces is whether we have more freedom and rights in the future, or less. “This is not a time to be complacent,” he said.
“That’s why I’m running for re-election.”
