DWI charges filed against Jefferson County resident in Croghan

CROGHAN- A local resident from the North Country is accused of intoxicated driving in Lewis County.

Late Tuesday night, the New York State Police (Carthage) arrested and charged Scott Robert Wells, 21, of Carthage, NY with one count each of DWI (first offense) and operating a motor vehicle (w/a .08 of 1% BAC or greater).

According to Troopers, this arrest was made Tuesday night in the town of Croghan.

At press time, police said that Wells was released to a third-party.
