Emergency officials say structure fire Thursday near Holland Patent under investigation

ONEIDA COUNTY- A structure fire Wednesday afternoon near Holland Patent, NY remains under investigation, emergency responders say.

It was shortly after 2:00 p.m. when 9-1-1 dispatch received reports of a structure fire at 10656 Coombs Road.

Holland Patent was the primary Fire Department on scene, with  Barneveld and Stittville providing mutual aid.

Firefighters initially discovered heavy smoke and fire on the second floor of the raised ranch style home.

Significant damage was reported and the cause still remains under investigation as of this publication, according to Holland Patent Fire Department.

Other departments assisting at the scene included Deerfield, Floyd, Yorkville RIT, STaR ambulance, County Car 12, National Grid and Town of Trenton codes.
