Felony DWI charge filed against North Country resident in Jefferson County: NYSP

CHAMPION- A North Country resident is accused of felony intoxicated driving in Jefferson County, authorities say.

Michael Aaron Burr, 40, of Carthage, NY was arrested shortly after midnight Thursday by the New York State Police (Carthage). Burr is formally charged with one felony count of DWI (w/a previous conviction within ten-years).

According to Troopers, the charge was filed in the town of Champion. At press time, police said that an investigation was pending.

Meanwhile, Burr made an appearance for centralized arraignment.
