STATE POLICE: Carthage resident charged with criminal contempt in Wilna

WILNA- A domestic dispute in Jefferson County this week has resulted in the arrest of a North Country resident, authorities say.

Ricky F. Farney, 46, of Carthage, NY was arrested Thursday morning by the New York State Police (Carthage). Farney is formally charged with one misdemeanor count of criminal contempt in the second-degree (violating court order).

According to Troopers, the arrest stems from a reported domestic incident in the town of Wilna.

At press time, police said that an investigation was pending.

Meanwhile, Farney made an appearance for centralized arraignment.

There were no further details provided.
