Firefighters douse structure fire in Remsen Tuesday night

ONEIDA COUNTY- A structure fire was knocked down Tuesday night in the Remsen district, authorities say.

Alarms sounded at around 8:20 p.m. when 9-1-1 dispatchers received calls for help on Seneca Street, town of Remsen.

Remsen Fire Department was the primary responder, with Barneveld providing mutual aid.

Fortunately, emergency responders made haste with dousing the flames. Officials said damage was kept to a minimum.

There were no additional details available at press time.
