WESTERN- Authorities say a Mohawk Valley area resident was arrested on a warrant after local agencies inspected a local campsite in Oneida County.

Last Tuesday afternoon, New York State Forest Rangers Hoag and Piersma were inspecting a campsite in the Buck Hill State Forest, town of Western.

During their search, they reportedly encountered a 35-year-old subject and after investigating, it was discovered the individual had an outstanding arrest warrant issued via the town of New Hartford.

Specifically, the subject was wanted on a grand larceny charge.

Rangers took the suspect into custody, without incident, and transported them to New Hartford Police Department.

A suspect name was not released and there were no further details available at press time.
