Former biomass site in Lyonsdale aimed to transform into a USDA certified meat processing plant

LEWIS COUNTY- The former ‘ReEnergy’ biomass site is now aimed to transform into a USDA certified meat processing facility in Lyonsdale.

A town board meeting was held this week, where officials went over site plan reviews for McRez Packing International, LLC.

According to the Naturally Lewis office, there have been efforts behind the scenes for this development for the past two-years and this would be the second USDA certified meat processing facility for Lewis County.

The Naturally Lewis Office says this project has goals of revitalizing a vacant property, while supporting local agriculture, supporting local jobs and modernizing the local manufacturing industry.
