WASHINGTON, D.C. – Our North Country Congresswoman could soon become our New York State Governor.

According to multiple sources in the media, Elise Stefanik is apparently considering the idea of taking on Democratic incumbent, Kathy Hochul, who became Governor after Andrew Cuomo resigned in the Summer of 2021.

Hochul will be up for reelection in November of 2026. She previously served as Lieutenant Governor under the Cuomo administration, starting that role in 2015.

In a statement released on Wednesday concerning one of the latest Marist polls, Stefanik blasted Governor Hochul’s policies and claimed she was the “worst Governor in America.”

"This latest bombshell polling proves what every New Yorker already knows: that we must FIRE Kathy Hochul in 2026 to SAVE NEW YORK,” the Congresswoman declared.

In response, New York’s Democratic Party Spokesperson, Addison Dick, says that “New York Republicans can’t field a serious candidate from their pathetic crew of Trump minions.”

Stefanik has been a long Trump ally and just returned to her congressional seat after the President reversed course on his offer for her to serve as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations.

We have reached out to Stefanik’s office requesting an on-air segment, which will be aired in the near future if we hear back.
