Harassment complaint in Forestport leads to charge filed against local resident

FORESTPORT- A reported harassment case in Northern Oneida County has resulted in an accusation filed against a local resident.

Karen A. Howard, 49, of Forestport, NY was arrested and charged on Saturday afternoon by the New York State Police (Old Forge) with one misdemeanor count of criminal mischief (w/intent to damage property).

According to Troopers, the arrest was made in the town of Forestport, following a harassment complaint on Friday evening.

At press time, police said that an investigation was pending. Meanwhile, Howard was issued with an appearance ticket.

There were no further details provided.
