BOONVILLE- Energy bills this winter have been an extremely bitter topic amongst our several North Country area towns and villages.

According to National Grid's website, one of their advocates will be visiting the village on Tuesday, February 3 (10:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. @ Willow Network/Boonville Life Center, 44 East Schuyler St., Boonville, NY 13309).

According to National Grid, these Customer Assistance Events will be able to provide customers with options to manage their energy bills and ways to save money.

Folks will have the chance to meet with assistance program experts and connect with the resources your family needs, all under one roof, all in one day.

Advocates will be on-site to help you explore options and determine your eligibility for assistance including the following:

  1. Energy Affordability Program (EAP)
  2. Payment Plans
  3. Budget Plan
  4. Special Protections

If you receive HEAP, Lifeline Telephone Service Program, SNAP, Medicaid, Veterans Disability or Survivors Pension, Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Federal Public Housing Assistance, Child Health Plus, Utility Guarantee/Direct Vendor Programs, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Safety Net Assistance, or for those living on Tribal Lands – Bureau of Indian Affairs General Assistance, Head Start, Tribal TANF, Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations please make sure to bring a current year/season’s award letter to enroll in our bill discount for your gas and electric accounts (if you aren’t already enrolled).
