LOWVILLE- 2023 marks the 24th year for Essenlohr Motors and their Toys for Children Campaign.
"This is a part of Lewis County Christmas Sharing," spokesperson Mark Essenlohr told us.
"It's been a success for every year. We just keep doing it and it's a great thing for our community!"
Toys for Children is a program inspired to help brighten the Christmas season for families throughout Lewis County.
Each year, the Essenlohr dealership collects a truck full of new, unwrapped toys, which are eventually sorted out and then distributed to families in need.
All toys collected stay within the county. "We prefer new toys and we'd rather stay away from used toys and we definitely want them un-wrapped so that way we can decide what age group they go to," Essenlohr explained.
The collection drive runs through Saturday, December 23. New, unwrapped toys or monetary donations can be dropped off at the Utica Boulevard dealership (7393 Utica Blvd, Lowville, NY 13367) Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturdays between 8:00 a.m. and Noon.
