Investigators confirm one victim is dead in Forestport ATV accident

FORESTPORT- Members from the Oneida County Sheriff's Office are currently investigating a fatal ATV accident in the town of Forestport.

Details remain limited for the time being, but we do have word that authorities responded to reports of an ATV accident Sunday night. It happened sometime around 9:15 p.m., near the River Road.

According to investigators, the male victim has been identified Kenneth S. Veckmer, 57 of Forestport. Kenneth was operating a 2005 Polaris four wheeler when the incident occurred, police said.

At press time, Deputies said more details may be released.
