WATSON- A local man is accused of aggravated intoxicated driving following reports of a one vehicle crash over the weekend in Lewis County, authorities say.
William J. Davoy III, 50, of Watson, NY was arrested Sunday by the Lewis County Sheriff's Office. He is formally charged with aggravated DWI and other unspecified traffic infractions.
According to emergency dispatchers, the Sheriff's Office was dispatched to the Number Four Road, town of Watson, shortly after 3:00 a.m. Sunday after a 2016 Chevy Cruz went off the roadway.
Davoy III, the reported driver, appeared intoxicated when police arrived, deputies alleged.
He reportedly failed field sobriety tests on scene and registered a .27% BAC during processing at the Public Safety Building.
Davoy III was released with appearance tickets, with all charges returnable to Watson Town Court.
