INVESTIGATORS: Names of deceased victims from Rome apartment complex fire released

ROME- Authorities have released the names of the two deceased victims from this week’s devastating fire at Countryside Apartments.

According to Sheriff’s Investigators, Christine M. Teuscher, 76, has been identified as the person who was taken to the hospital with severe burns, but later passed away.

Gary J. Wiedmann, 61, has been identified as the victim who was found deceased inside of an apartment complex.

The fire occurred during the early hours Tuesday morning.

At press time, police said the fire remains under investigation and an official cause has not yet been released.

With that said, further details may be released at another time.
