It’s final: Tompkins tops Democratic incumbent Moser in Lewis County DA race

LOWVILLE- The results are final – Leanne Moser has officially congratulated her Republican challenger in the race for Lewis County District Attorney.

The official results included 3,032 votes for Jeffery Tompkins and 2,973 for Moser. “On a very personal note, I want to take this moment to thank Lewis County for having allowed me to serve as your District Attorney and Coroner for the past 16 years,” Moser said in a released statement.

Moser was running this year for what would have been her fifth four-year term.

Tompkins, who currently resides in Oneida County, says he will now move to Lewis County since he will now serve as District Attorney.

He has served as Lewis County’s conflict defender for the past half-decade.
