Jefferson County resident accused of criminal trespass: NYSP

CARTHAGE- A local resident from the North Country is faced with a criminal trespass charge in Jefferson County, authorities say.

Janai Z. Crumity, 24, of Carthage, NY was arrested Monday evening by the New York State Police (Carthage). Crumity is formally charged with one misdemeanor count of criminal trespass in the second-degree (entering and/or remaining unlawfully in a dwelling).

According to Troopers, the arrest stems from a trespass complaint, which was filed back on June 15 in the village of Carthage, NY.

At press time, police said that an investigation was pending.

Crumity was issued with an appearance ticket and there were no further details provided.
