Lawyer announces campaign to run against Lewis County District Attorney Moser

LOWVILLE- A lawyer has announced his campaign to challenge Leanne Moser for Lewis County District Attorney.

Jeffery G. Tompkins revealed his plans Tuesday in a press conference in Lowville, NY. He has 30-years of experience, including representing criminal defendants in Town, Village, City, County and Federal Courts.

“The position of District Attorney is more than just securing criminal convictions,” Tompkins said. “It’s doing what is best for the residents of the county overall, always taking into consideration first and foremost, the needs and concerns of the victims of crime.”

Currently, Tompkins practices with McClusky Law Firm and although currently residing in Oneida County, he has served at a conflict defender for Lewis County over the past five-years.

Tompkins is running on a Republican ticket. Current DA Moser is a Democrat seeking her fifth term in the position.
