LOWVILLE- A Lewis County Jail inmate is accused of using a third party in means of contacting a protected person under court order.
Last Friday, the Sheriff’s Office arrested and charged William C. Deamer, 52, with one felony count each of criminal contempt in the first-degree and aggravated family offense.
Deamer, originally from Harrisville, NY, is accused of attempting to contact a protected person through a third party.
Sheriff’s Deputies say this incident occurred on October 8 while Deamer was incarcerated at Lewis County Jail.
His alleged use of a third party to reach out to the protected victim reportedly violates an active protection order.
At press time, police said that Deamer was arraigned and remanded back to the county jail.
There were no further details provided.
