Lewis County resident charged with criminal trespass in town of Croghan: LCSO

CROGHAN- A trespass complaint on Thursday resulted in the arrest of a local North Country resident.

The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office has formally charged Justin R. Halladay, 42, of Croghan, NY with one misdemeanor count of criminal trespass in the third-degree.

Deputies say they investigated a trespass complaint on the Erie Canal Road, town of Croghan. As a result of their investigation, police allege that Halladay had entered a garage, unlawfully, without the owner’s consent.

Halladay was taken into custody and processed at the Public Safety Building. An order of protection was issued.

At press time, police said that Halladay was arraigned and released.

The charge is returnable to Croghan Town Court at a later date.
