WATERTOWN- A local resident is accused of impaired driving in the North Country, authorities say.

State Police (Watertown) arrested and charged an 18-year-old resident from Copenhagen, NY on Wednesday for operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs (first-offense).

A suspect name or gender was not released by authorities (youthful offender status).

According to Troopers, the charge was filed in the city of Watertown, NY.

At press time, police said that the suspect had been issued with an appearance ticket.

There were no further details provided.
