LOWVILLE- Authorities have provided an update regarding a threat that was investigated at Lowville Academy.
The incident reportedly occurred on Monday, the Lowville Village Police said. According to Chief of Police Daryl Ortlieb, a 14-year-old student threatened to harm fellow students and staff members.

Once staff members were made aware of the situation, the student had already vacated the campus, but was quickly located by police, authorities said.
As a result of a police investigation, the teenage suspect was formally charged on Tuesday with making a threat of mass harm.
As of this report, the Lowville Village Police said no further details will be released or explained further.
