Local resident charged in wake of alleged domestic incident in Southern Lewis County

LYONS FALLS- A domestic incident this week in Southern Lewis County has resulted in the arrest of a local resident, authorities say.

Reginald J. Fenton, 58, of Port Leyden, NY was arrested Wednesday night by the New York State Police (Lowville). Fenton is formally charged with one misdemeanor count of criminal contempt in the second-degree (disobeying court order).

According to Troopers, the charge stems from a reported domestic incident earlier that afternoon in the village of Lyons Falls, NY.

At press time, police said that an investigation was pending. Meanwhile, Fenton was issued with an appearance ticket.

There were no further details provided.
