Local resident charged with felony grand larceny in Lewis County, Troopers say

CROGHAN- A North Country resident is faced with a felony larceny accusation in Lewis County, authorities say.

Tracie L. Nier, 40, of Carthage, NY was arrested Wednesday afternoon by the New York State Police (Lowville). Nier is formally charged with one felony count of grand larceny in the fourth-degree (property value > $1,000).

According to Troopers, the arrest stems from a larceny complaint Monday morning in the town of Croghan.

At press time, police said that Nier was issued with an appearance ticket.
