Local school budget, election voting results, 2023

Residents swarmed to various school districts throughout the area Tuesday to vote on budgets and board seats. Here are the results we have gathered by county:

Herkimer County:

Poland CSD: Budget passed.

Webb Union Free School: Budget passed; propositions three and four passed; Armendola elected to the board. 

West Canada Valley CSD: Budget passed; bus proposal passed; capital project proposal passed; Brewer and Schatzel elected.

Jefferson County:

Carthage CSD: Budget passed; library funding in Carthage and Black River approved; Jonathan Schell, Dr. Janice Gravely and Rob Wilson all elected to the board.

Lewis County:

Beaver River CSD: Budget passed; Holly Aucter elected to the board.

Copenhagen CSD: Budget passed; transportation and reserve fund propositions passed; James Harter elected to the board.

Harrisville: Budget passed; bus proposition passed; Heidi McIntosh and Denise Avallone elected to the board.

Lowville: Budget passed; Stephanie Houser Fouse, Cheyenne Steria and Steven Fuller all elected to the board.

South Lewis: Budget passed; bus and library propositions passed; Thomas Burmingham elected to the board.  

Oneida County:

Adirondack CSD: Budget passed; Maureen Healt and Michael Kramer elected to the board.

Holland Patent CSD: Budget passed; bus and capital project propositions passed; Smyth elected to the board.

Remsen CSD: Budget passed; propositions one and two passed; Tara Kennerknecht elected to the board.
