BOONVILLE- A local teacher will receive an honor for being an inspirational educator.

Nick Palczak, who teaches Physics at Adirondack High School, was one of three teachers selected for this honor statewide.

The award is presented and organized by Clarkson University students and their Inspirational Educators Committee. The honor recognizes these people for their long lasting influence on their students and their work in education.

Mr. Palczak was nominated by Bailee Underwood, a senior from Taberg, NY. Underwood is seeking to achieve a double major in Biomolecular Science & Communication, Media and Design. “I would not be graduating from Clarkson University today if it weren't for Mr. Palczak’s profound impact on my life,” Underwood said in nominating Palczak.

“Mr. Palczak is one of the most inspiring and driven educators I have had the pleasure of learning from, even after taking hundreds of credit hours at a renowned institution such as Clarkson. He is not only committed to making learning enjoyable but also to providing students with opportunities they would not otherwise have.”

Outside the classroom, Mr. Palczak is very active with sports, such as golf, and helping out with the high school musical each spring.

During the fall and winter months, he can be heard over our airwaves calling local high school varsity football and basketball games.
