Lowville resident faced with numerous charges filed in Greig and Watson, including concealment of a human corpse and tampering with physical evidence

GREIG- A North Country area resident is faced with numerous charges in Lewis County, including felonies.

On Wednesday morning, the New York State Police (Watertown) arrested and charged Kyle T. Simpson, 31, of Lowville, NY with one felony count each of concealment of a human corpse and tampering with physical evidence (providing false evidence in official proceedings; along with additional misdemeanors of obstructing governmental administration in the second-degree, resisting arrest and burial/body removal without a permit.

Troopers said these charges were filed stemming from an investigation in the town of Greig.

Meanwhile, Simpson was also charged on Wednesday for two more misdemeanors in the town of Watson for an alleged parole violation, with charges including misdemeanor resisting arrest and obstruction of governmental administration.

At press time, the State Police said an investigation was pending.
