LOWVILLE- A North Country man is accused of shoplifting this week from a local grocery store, authorities say.

It's reported that police investigated a shoplifting complaint Thursday at Tops Friendly Markets. Investigation suggests that Ielfield allegedly left the store without paying for $68.87 worth of merchandise.

He was confronted out in the store parking lot, police said.

Ielfield was issued with an appearance ticket, which is returnable to Lowville Town Court at a later date.
