LOWVILLE- A village resident is accused of violating a court order of protection in Lewis County, authorities say.
Travis L. Foy, 43, was arrested Thursday by the Lowville Village Police Department. Foy is officially charged with one count of criminal contempt in the second-degree.
According to Chief of Police Daryl R. Ortlieb, Foy is accused of violating a protection order, which was originally issued by Lewis County Family Court Judge Daniel King.
Specifics regarding the nature of this case were not provided at press time.
Police said that Foy was issued with an appearance ticket and will answer the charge in Lowville Town Court at a later date.
