Man accused of sexual misconduct, endangering welfare of child in Forestport

FORESTPORT- A North Country man is faced with sex offense related charges in Northern Oneida County, authorities are reporting.

Colby D. McGuire, 20, of Carthage, NY was arrested Wednesday afternoon by the New York State Police (Remsen). He is officially charged with one misdemeanor count each of sexual misconduct and endangering the welfare of a child.

According to Troopers, the charges stem from complaints filed this week in the town of Forestport.

At press time, McGuire’s arrest status was listed as held. Furthermore, police said an investigation was pending.

State Police included no further details to report.
