
OLD FORGE- A man who was wanted from out of state for alleged burglary and robbery was caught over the weekend by authorities in the Western Adirondacks.
Matthew A. Ricci, 51, was arrested by the Town of Webb Police Department as a fugitive from justice.
According to Chief of Police Ron Johnston, Ricci was wanted on an arrest warrant from the state of Connecticut. He faces numerous charges from Bethel Police Department regarding a reported home invasion, including counts of burglary, robbery and unlawful restraint in the first-degrees; along with additional counts of threatening in the second-degree and larceny in the fourth-degree.
Investigators have determined that Ricci has been residing at Nick’s Lake Campgrounds for at-least several weeks before police found out he was wanted.
It’s reported that Ricci was located and taken into police custody on Lakeview Avenue.
He was taken to the Herkimer County Jail to await extradition.
