Medical helicopter, jaws of life utilized in Sunday night MVA roll-over in Forestport

ONEIDA COUNTY- Emergency responders were called out late Sunday night to the scene of a motor vehicle accident near the Forestport, NY area.

It was shortly after 10:30 p.m. when Forestport Fire Department received a report of a roll-over accident on State Route 28.

Emergency personnel utilized the jaws of life, as authorities say one victim was rushed to the Forestport Town Hall, where Boonville Fire Department helped set-up a landing zone for a LifeNet Helicopter.

The victim was flown out for treatment.

In addition to Boonville Fire Department, members from the New York State Police, North Star Ambulance and the New York State DOT also assisted.
